My family has taken 4 genetic genealogy DNA tests to date. We have tested through 3 different companies. I am happy to talk about our testing experiences with anyone who is thinking about using one of the companies we used.

• Taken by a maternal uncle of mine.

• HVR1: CRS
• HVR2: CRS
• CR: 9299G
• Y-chromosome = R1b1b2

Test 2 | 23andMe

• Taken by my maternal grandmother.
• Haplogroup: H2a2a
• Ancestry Composition: 99.6% European, 0.1% Sub-Saharan African, and 0.3% Unassigned
• DNA relatives in database: 987

Test 3 | 23andMe

• Taken by myself.
• Haplogroup: H2a2a
• Ancestry Composition: 99.6% European, 0.1% Sub-Saharan African, and 0.3% Unassigned
• DNA relatives in database: 988

Test 4 | AncestryDNA

• Taken by my father.
• Ancestry Composition: 71% Central European, 21% Scandinavian, and 8% Unassigned
